Glen Minami is one of Hawaii’s most well known and respected surfboard shapers. It is not uncommon to hear the majority of shapers from experienced to up-and-coming stars who credit Glen Minami as a great teacher and instrumental influence. Glen had been shaping under the old Blue Hawaii Surf label but due to a company dispute, he began a new label called Infamy Surfboards. Minami has also worked with Surftech, who offers an epoxy version of his travel quiver. 2 Comments »Rory Knight, on February 17, 2008 @ 3:14 pm |Mr. Minami, I’m riding a 5′10″ single fin with a sting, and a swallow tail that You shaped under Town and country. That was you right? I’m guessing around 1980 or earlier? I love this board, enough to shape my own single fin. just wanted to give you a shout and let you know that board is still wet and living well! thanks man.
